gMCP is a self-hosted tool. This policy explains what that means for your data.
What gMCP accesses
When you connect a Google service (such as Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Search Console, Google Ads, BigQuery, Google Business Profile, AdSense, or PageSpeed Insights) to your own installation of gMCP, you authorize it directly through Google’s own OAuth consent screen. gMCP requests only the scopes needed for the services you choose to connect, and you can see exactly which ones at the time you authorise each service.
Where your data goes
gMCP is self-hosted. That means your installation, whether running on your own desktop or on a server you control, communicates directly with Google’s APIs. Your authorization tokens and any data retrieved from your Google accounts stay on infrastructure you own and control.
Neither I nor any third party receive, store, or have access to your tokens or your data. There is no central gMCP server that your information passes through.
What I do collect
I do not collect any personal data, usage data, or analytics from your installation of gMCP. I have no visibility into how you use it, what data you retrieve, or what accounts you connect.
Third parties
gMCP does not share your data with any third party. If you choose to connect gMCP to a language model provider (such as OpenRouter) as part of your own setup, that provider’s own privacy policy governs how they handle any data you send through them. That is a choice you make in your own configuration, separate from gMCP itself.
Your responsibility
Because gMCP is self-hosted, you are responsible for securing the infrastructure it runs on and for keeping it updated. Google’s own account security and permissions settings remain under your control at all times. You can revoke gMCP’s access to any Google service at any time from your Google Account’s security settings.
